Media Release: Welcome to the Summer of KitchenAid with New World!
Exclusive KitchenAid ovenware promotion
It’s the launch New Zealand supermarket shoppers have been waiting all year for! New World has done it again for their eagerly anticipated summer promotion, this time partnering with iconic brand KitchenAid to launch an exclusive range of premium collectable ovenware.
From 15 November at New World stores nationwide, for every $20 spent, shoppers can start collecting stickers as part of the exclusive KitchenAid ovenware promotion that is bound to turn even the most challenged cook into a superstar chef - and help them dazzle this Christmas - and for many years to come.
The stunning exclusive collection has been carefully researched and selected by New World and KitchenAid to ensure that it’s not only beautiful, but each piece is also practical, long-lasting and ideally suited for New Zealand kitchens and home cooks.
There are five premium ovenware dishes to choose from. Three high stoneware pieces and two cast iron options:
- a beautiful stoneware mini cocotte that’s ideal for baked brie or or camembert
- a stoneware ruffled pie dish perfect for a festive tart or cheesecake
- a stoneware medium baker dish great for everything from potato bakes to salmon fillets and comes with a bamboo lid, - a highly sustainable solution to transporting a meal to a potluck dinner or outdoor picnic - and then safely store leftovers in the fridge for lunch the next day. This means less wasted food and no need for single use plastic cling wrap either.
- Two cast iron options destined to become timeless classics in any kitchen, including a grill pan for grill-lined steak perfection and the family favourite round casserole pot, which is exclusively available to New World Clubcard members. New World Clubcard is free and easy to join (www.newworld.co.nz)
Shoppers collect one sticker for every $20 spent on qualifying products in New World stores, or online. Every KitchenAid piece has a part pay option as well.
For the stoneware range, customers will collect a certain number of stickers, depending on their preferred piece, which can then be redeemed for any of three stoneware KitchenAid pieces from 15 November to 23 January, or while stocks last.
The cast iron products, which are also available during the same period, require a combination of stickers and a cash top-up.
All five KitchenAid pieces are exclusively available at New World - and not available to buy anywhere else in New Zealand.
Plus, to help customers collect stickers even faster, there are bonus sticker products available each week of the campaign (minimum $20 spend applies).
“This exclusive KitchenAid ovenware will take pride of place in any kitchen and are the types of pieces that will get handed down through generations, says Pippa Prain, Head of Marketing and CX for New World. “We were determined to build on the success of SMEG, and Spiegelau before that, and once again reward our shoppers with the opportunity to collect another highly coveted, high quality, iconic brand with products that have longevity”.
“Over the last 18-months COVID has changed the way we eat, and many more of us have been at home cooking meals from scratch. Whether it's been learning the basics or experimenting with new cuisines, we have all been much busier in the kitchen. There is a dish for every type of cook in this collection and to help our customers get the most out of their new pieces, we have also created a selection of mouth-watering recipes that will delight family and friends this Christmas and over Summer.
“We have done things a little differently this year, we know all our customers’ situations are unique and kiwi kitchens come in all shapes and sizes, so this year it’s not about collecting a set, it’s about getting the right pieces for you to create your own collection. You could collect all five dishes, more than one dish, or only some dishes. For me, my go-to to make a statement on the cheeseboard this summer will be the mini cocotte with a delicious baked brie.”
New Zealand has come to expect a lot from New World Christmas promotions. It’s been another challenging year for the country and the New World team has worked hard for months to overcome significant obstacles, like a global shipping crisis, to ensure it didn’t disappoint its loyal customers. There are nearly 900,000 pieces already in the country, waiting to be safely dispatched to participating New World stores around country.
“It is amazing to be working with such an iconic brand and we know our customers are going to be as excited as us,” continues Prain. “This whole collection is the type of ovenware you dream about but don’t ever seem to find the right time to treat yourself to. Now, our customers can own some exclusive KitchenAid ovenware just by doing their normal weekly shop with New World, but my advice is don’t wait to redeem your stickers, get your favourites early to avoid unnecessary disappointment”.
